Assam flood situation improved with affected people decreasing to 4.45 lakh across six districts: Sivasagar, Golaghat, Charaideo, Jorhat, Nagaon, and Kamrup (Metropolitan).

Death toll stands at 68, with 631 villages under water across 21 revenue circles.

Charaideo is the worst-hit district with 1.88 lakh people affected, followed by Sivasagar with 1.44 lakh.

Over 37,139 hectares of cropland submerged, over 2.56 lakh animals affected, and 26,000 animals washed away.

Infrastructure damage includes 171 houses fully damaged, 4,667 partially damaged, and road overtopping in Jorhat, Sivasagar, and Charaideo.
