Lando Norris claims first Grand Prix victory of 2026 with dominant Hungarian GP win
Lando Norris won the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix, his first main race victory of the season, driving for McLaren at the Hungaroring circuit.
Norris led all 70 laps from pole position, finishing 15.080 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in second place.
Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) completed the podium in third, 18.728 seconds behind Norris.
Oscar Piastri retired early with a gearbox problem, removing the only threat from within the McLaren team.
Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) received a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane, dropping him to fifth behind teammate Charles Leclerc.
